Claudia Blackwater Corban

Meet Claudia

A Private/Paranormal/Supernatural Investigator, Consultant/Expert on matters related to the Occult, Exorcist, and a magnet for all things strange. She lives with her best friend Bethany. They share the three-story building Claudia owns. The first floor being a small cafe, the rest being their living area and Claudia's work space.

She's also mentoring Jennifer, a young albino woman with great potential as a PI and later a paranormal investigator. However, she has a serious case of tunnel vision when on a case that usually gets her caught.

However, Claudia has a secret. She bares the blessing of a dead elder god that was bestowed upon her mother Marian and was transferred to her during a conception ritual between her two mothers. As a result, she has become resistant to chaos and mental corruption that leaks into this world, but also finds herself involved in cases and situations involving supernatural, arcane, and eldritch horrors.  

Another side effect of the blessing is the near constant call for her to seek out the other realm. She tries to distract herself through Cases and Physical training. By exerting herself she was to too tired to try and seek the elder truths. Eventually it became ineffective and her exhaustion gave way to strange and twisted dreams. She tones down the exercise to be part of her routine. She found that bondage was a way to help keep her mind off the call. Bethany is always happy to oblige in.  

Claudia came to realize that she needed to seek out the knowledge of the elder ones that seeped into our world to keep it safe from the world. It would manifest randomly in a physical form, tempting those who found it to open the bridge between this world and the abyss. She keeps an archive of every piece she finds, there can never be more than one piece of Eldritch information at a time. 

She is kind, compassionate, empathetic, and very patient. She has a very calming presence and offers a gentle smile that seems to make all your worries go away. However, she won't hesitate to call people out on their shit when it's needed. She has a tendency to take too much on her own, which causes Bethany and Jennifer worry about her. And Like Jennifer, Claudia is learning to ask for help better.
